Rights & Reproductions
Thank you for your interest in obtaining a print,
transparency, slide or digital image of an illustration
archived by the Blair Historic Preservation Alliance
(BHPA). Most BHPA illustrations, including
those appearing on this website may be reproduced for
personal, nonprofit, and certain commercial uses.
The Blair Historic
Preservation Alliance will review each photographic
reproduction request and will grant or deny use
permission on a case by case basis. The following are
guidelines only:
Permission to use BHPA
images may be granted for the following purposes:

Nonprofit — including educational or charitable
projects by nonprofit organizations, such as
museums, schools, libraries, government agencies
and presidential libraries.

Personal — for display in a private home or
office. Personal use images are not to be
published in any way.

Commercial — the material may be used in a
for-profit venture only if the illustration is
incidental to and not a major feature of a
publication and if use falls within other stated
BHPA guidelines.
The following
uses are not allowed:

Advertising
-
Resale as prints, slides, transparencies, or in
any other type of medium such as CD-ROM
-
Internet distribution
-
Publications or projects where the BHPA images are
the major feature of a publication.
The following
specifications must be followed when using a BHPA
image:

Images must be used in full, no cropping is
allowed

Images may not be superimposed with type or other
images

Images may not be altered or distorted in any way
-
Credit line or end credit must be included
