Blair's Historic Homes           

The streets of Blair are lined with many homes rich in local history. If we share this history with each other, we enrich our lives.

During preliminary surveys, a number of homes were suggested to be included on a local Historic Homes Registry maintained by the Blair Historic Preservation Alliance. This designation does not limit the homeowner in any way -- it is a distinction used only to celebrate the history of the home and a starting point for further research. There is no cost and participation is completely optional.

To participate in the 2007 Historic Homes celebration, all you need to do is complete the participation form (to the right) and return it to the BHPA.

You have the option to have your house listed (with or without the owners’ names) on the BHPA Historic Home Registry. In addition, for the week prior to the Gateway to the West celebration in Blair, you have an option to place a yard sign in front of your house.

This yard sign that reads, “Celebrate Blair’s Historic Homes BlairHistory.com“ (measuring 18” X 24”) will note that your house is listed on the local registry and will draw viewers to the BlairHistory.com web site to read a little more about your home and other historic homes in the city.
