City Light Plant (a.k.a. Electrical Light Works)
Built between 1886 & 1889 in Block 26 of the Original Town Section
Just West of Walker (today 16th street) on the north side of the Railroad tracks.
Rebuilt in Block 27 between 1909 & 1923

"A plant, built in 1889 to provide electricity for lights, was not dependable or profitable. In 1914 a new municipal power plant was built and later a city ice plant was added to supply Blair with "safe ice," replacing the system of cutting it from the river."

March 5, 1921
A bond issue was passed to construction the Municipal Ice Plant.

Dec 16, 1958
Ice Manufacturing Equipment to be sold.
