Arlington High School
In 1904, it was decided to build purchase a new school
site at Block 1 of Sheppard Addition in Arlington. The cost for the site was
$14,000. In 1906, a special election was called to vote on a $15,000
bond issue for the new building. John Leatensey was selected as the
architect and the building contract was let to A.G. Ludwig. The new
building was formally accepted in 1908. The building was abandoned and
burned in 1973.
