Blair School System
(c. 1894)
Composite photo panel
showing East School, North School, West School, Central School and
nineteen teachers.
Dated June 1894.
The production of this photograph is a unique process. The
individual photo of the teachers and the buildings were pasted onto
a board. Then a plaster was "piped" much like cake frosting. After
the plaster dried, names were penciled under the photo and a
photograph was taken of the board. These was one of the many
methods of producing multiple copies of a composite photo panel.
