Nathan, do you have suggestions on how to expand the following? We will need a shorter version for the "Things to do" page and will need to expand for the second newspaper article. If we get a picture of Al and you working on the diorama, we'll need a cut line for that, too. Any suggestions will be more than welcome. Perhaps you will want a copy of this emailed to Harriet so she will have details.

Whether you are an oldtimer in Blair or a newcomer you will find something of interest at "Down Memory Lane", a "Blair Reminisce" event highlighting the Historic Blair Downtown District during this year's Gateway to the West Days. This event, which is being sponsored by the Blair Historic Preservation Alliance, will be held at the Blair City Council Chambers on June 14, 2003 from 2:30 to 4:30 p.m. It will be open to the public, with free admission. Entry will be from the parking lot, south of the City Hall.

Members of the Alliance are planning a display of pictures and memorabilia of the historic buildings located on Washington Street from 15th to 18th Streets. They will welcome input from the public concerning the history of these buildings. So, if you are a Blair newcomer you will learn interesting things about your new home. If you are an oldtimer you may share some of your memories as well as enjoy the opportunity to perhaps learn things you were not aware of. If your family was involved in the early years of Blair, you will be particularly interested in this exhibit and may also be able to contribute to the available information. A miniature photographic store front diorama is being prepared which will make it possible for viewers to "stroll down memory lane", enjoying the historic aspects of Blair's Main Street.
