  • Need to develop recruitment program
    i.e.  invite people to help with projects, then ask if interested in joining.
  • Promote membership forms at all public events.
  • Need to communicate frequently with membership  ( Email Announcement List )
  • Publicize Benefits of Membership
  • Project leaders learn and use membership database to actively promote new member participation
  • Yearly Newsletter 

How do we evaluate the success of our membership drive:

  1. Increase in attendance at the quarterly Member's Meetings
  2. Increase in paid memberships and sponsorships
  3. Increase in volunteerism on projects and programs
  4. Attendant at Public Programs
Annual Membership Memorials and Annual Benefactor

  • Invitations to all Public Programs.

  • Invitations to exclusive "Member's Only" Historic Building Tours.

  • Invitations to Quarterly Member's Meetings and Annual Meeting in May. (Member's Meeting include a program of historical interest, short board reports and refreshments.)

  • Invitations and agendas to Quarterly Board Business Meetings and meeting minutes sent via email.

  • Annual Report & Newsletter

  • Email updates with information about items of local historic interest and new additions to the website

  • Opportunities to volunteer with projects and programs.  (Research, mailings, transcriptions, refreshments, project coordination, etc.)

  • Receive free Blair Historic Picture Calendar

  • Invitations to Holiday Social in December.

Annual Membership Levels:

  • Financial Support of the group's projects and mission. 

  • Acknowledgement in Annual Report / Newsletter
